I've been thinking a lot about timing.

I'm back! Broke my foot (twice), got lowkey into Human Design, and now building a life around my natural rhythms. Dive in.

“Hello, I’m Gwen Yi. Welcome back to whatever the f*ck this is.”

🤣 After months away from the microphone, I’m back!

Not with another astrology forecast or perfectly polished podcast, but with something much simpler:

My voice.

In this first episode, I share why I stepped away from being “The Asian Astrologer,” what working with Olivia Lara Owen changed in me, and how seven months of slowing down — including breaking (and rebreaking 🤡) my foot — forced me to rethink everything I believed about work, healing, and success.

We wander through Human Design, ADHD, entrepreneurship, and the surprising freedom of building a life around my own natural rhythms instead of everyone else’s expectations.

This is an experiment in speaking honestly before I know what I’m gonna say. A place to think out loud about the process of becoming, trusting your own timing, and holding yourself through life’s in-between seasons.

If this becomes a series, I hope it feels less like listening to an expert, and more like sitting with a friend who’s figuring it out alongside you.

In this episode:

  • Why I quietly stepped away from Astrology as my public identity.

  • What investing in myself taught me after a decade of holding space for others.

  • How breaking my foot (twice!) became an unexpected teacher in patience, healing, and surrender.

  • Why I’ve stopped trying to fit my life into productivity culture — and started designing it around my own rhythms instead.

  • The experiment I’m beginning, and why I hope you’ll come along for the ride.

A question for you:

I’m especially curious about one thing.

If it does, leave me a comment. I’d love to know:

  • What rhythms have you discovered about yourself?

  • Have you ever found yourself trying to force a timeline that simply wasn’t yours?

  • Is this a topic you’d like me to explore more in future episodes?

I have an open Head & Ajna in Human Design, so your comments often become the starting point for where these conversations go next. Don’t be shy!
