I never would have taken on an extreme wake-up-early experiment on my own, but I really needed a temp job, and seemingly the only business hiring around here, which is where I wound up, has a 6:30 am-3 pm schedule. They have this because they have next-day delivery contracts with some of their customers, so their schedule is built around having as much of the workday as possible before the FedEx cutoff for next-day delivery. Anyway, I am surprised that I have actually been able to physically get there at that hour. My last job was 9-5, and it is way easier to get to the 6:30 am job on time than to the 9 am job because there are definitely fewer distractions when it's early. Less traffic too.
Wow thanks for sharing this! So true. I think I’ve bought into all the anti-hype around 5am clubs for so long I’m surprised at how I’m able to sustain this when it’s just for myself. The lack of distractions at the crack of dawn can’t be beat!!
If you were to "downsize" one part of your life right now, what would it be, and why? Let's yap in the comments. See ya next Wednesday :D
